π Korean Demonstrative pronouns μ΄,κ·Έ,μ π
This edition is dedicated to an essential part of the Korean language: demonstrative pronouns. If you've ever wondered how to say "this," "that," or "that over there" in Korean, you're in the right place. Today, we'll break down the usage of μ΄ (this), κ·Έ (that), and μ (that) in a way that's easy to understand and remember.
1. μ΄ - This

Usage: Use μ΄ to refer to something/person close to the speaker or the one they are thinking about.
Example:
μ΄ μ± This book (the book that is near you)
μ΄ μ¬λ This person (the person who is close to you)
Sentence:
μ΄ μ·μ μλ»μ. This dress is pretty.
2. κ·Έ - That

Usage: Use κ·Έ to refer to something/person that is close to the listener or something/person that has already been mentioned in the context or is thinking about.
Example:
κ·Έ μν That movie (the movie that the listener knows about)
κ·Έ μ§ That house (the house being talked about)
Sentence:
κ·Έ κ°λ°©μ μ κ±°μμ. That bag is mine.
3. μ - That over there

Usage: Use μ to refer to something/person that is far from both the speaker and the listener.
Example:

μ λ³ That star over there (the star that is far away)
